5 Manchester pubs open for a pint on Christmas Day including Northern Quarter and canal-side favourites

There really is nothing better than a festive ale or a glass of your favourite wine in a lovely boozer at this time of year.

Christmas is nearly here, which means panic buying and last-minute planning are at a yearly high. When the usual routine is paused for the festivities, it can be difficult to find something to do that fits your Christmassy requirements, especially when family and friends are gathering in their droves.

One thing that won’t draw in the complaints from your companions during the holidays is a trip to the pub for a drink or two to kick off the celebrations. Although many will be closing their doors on Christmas Day, there are still some pubs in Manchester that will be open to get you out of the house and making the most of the occasion.
