Manchester has been named as the best city in the UK for a wellness break due to the amount of beauty spaces, spas and yoga/fitness centres we have here in the city.

The beauty brand Catrice has collected data on 20 UK cities and ranked them based on the number of spas, beauty businesses and search demand for Pilates and yoga classes.

This research found that Manchester came out on top due to the strong love of wellness and the diverse forms of it within the city.

For example, there are “1,816 active beauty companies and 65 spas” and a clear interest in wellness activities as there was also “17,040 annual searches for Pilates and yoga.”

Due to the number of beauty hubs, Manchester has also been crowned the UK’s second most glamorous city in a wider study carried out by Catrice. Second only to the capital city, London.

It’s no surprise that Manchester has achieved this title as there is such an array of wellness activities, including retreats, spas, sports centres and health-focused cafe’s that certainly fix our spot as number one.

You are truly spoilt for choice with unique activities like Paw Yoga, mental health focused cafe Feel Good Hub and The Green Lab to name a few.

Not to mention the numerous run clubs and wellness-focused social groups such as Girls on the Go Manchester which also give that additional community element to exercising and working out in the city.

Whatever your flavour of wellness is, you’re bound to find it in Manchester.
