A bar in Manchester city centre has been named in the regional shortlist for the National Pub and Bar Awards 2024.
BOX Deansgate is one of the five North West pubs and bars that made the cut and will now go on to compete against the other 93 county winners from across the country for the title of National Pub and Bar of the Year.

All 94 county winners have been selected based on customer experiences, taking into account each operator’s design, service, style of offer, marketing and investment.
The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony in June, where 15 regional winners will also be announced. Awards for Pub Group of the Year, Bar Group of the Year and The Tyrrells Tyrrellbly Good Taste Award, named after the awards’ sponsor, will also be announced.
Tristan O’Hana, editor of Pub & Bar magazine, said: “The fact that we had record entries for the 2024 National Pub & Bar Awards tells us two things. One is how highly the industry regards these accolades, which is fantastic. But, also, it shows that more operators are in need of really positive and strong publicity to help drive business at the moment.
“Pubs and bars are facing some of the biggest challenges in recent history, so if the National Pub & Bar Awards can help by lifting sales across these venues, then we’re delighted to play our part.”
