Manchester bar in basement of new boutique city centre hotel in the running for major award - how to vote

A Manchester bar has been nominated for a prestigious award. The Peterman has been nominated for the Best Independent Bar at the People’s Choice Spirits Award.

The Peter Street spot opened its doors in 2022 downstairs from award-winning Indian restaurant Asha's with luxury boutique hotel Forty-Seven also opening in the Grade-II listed Lancashire House last year.

The awards ceremony will take place at Revolution at Deansgate Locks on Tuesday February 27. Tickets to go along to the event can be purchased through the awards website.

The awards were created in 2020 by industry experts Janet Harrison and Judy Kendrick. Spirit consumers are invited to help in the judging process alongside professionals from the industry including drinks writers and importers.  

The Peterman will be up against three other bars for the award and you can cast your vote for The Peterman by visiting the People’s Choice Drinks Awards website.
