The final episode of Love Island 2022, featuring Manchester contestant Davide Sanclimenti, is airing tonight after eight weeks of drama, raunchy challenges, and laughter. From a laddish holiday in Casa Amor to some really strong connections built towards the end, so much has happened over the last two months.

But now just four couples remain – Andrew Le Page and Tasha Ghouri; Luca Bish and Gemma Owen; Dami Hope and Indiyah Polack; and last not certainly not least, Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.

We’ve had some iconic moments in this series - and throughout the seven prior years gone by - but I’m sure many Love Island fans will agree we’ll struggle to ever find a more legendary couple than Davide and Ekin-Su. The pair have brought so much laughter; from Ekin-Su’s crawling on the terrace antics to the dozens of arguments in which Davide would whip up a carbonara to resolve. They’ve been brilliant.

Of course, they’re not the only couple who have had some unforgettable moments – everyone’s had their fair share of drama and laughs and have been key to making Love Island series 8 one to remember. It’ll definitely be worth tuning in to Monday’s final, even if it’s purely for the purpose of making the most of having these couples on our screens.

Where is Love Island’s Davide Sanclimenti from?

Davide, who was labelled the ‘Italian stallion’ from the moment he walked into the villa, hails from Rome, Italy, but moved to Manchester a few years ago. He still lives in Manchester and has spoken to Ekin-Su about showing her around the city.

Yes, twice! Davide isn’t just a man of many muscles, he’s also got two first-class degrees to his name, as portrayed by his LinkedIn profile.

The first was a bachelor’s degree in Economics & Business Administration at Università deglia Studi dell’Aquila, and the second was a master’s degree in Finance & Banking at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Impressive.

Voting for the first set of Love Island 2022 final results is ongoing (at the time of writing) to decide the final three couples. That’s right - although all four pairings have technically reached the final episode of the show, only three will remain for the announcement of the winner.

After the final ‘dumping’ of the series, there will be a second public vote this evening, 1 August. Information around when voting is opened and closed will be advertised during the show - often by voice-over artist Iain Stirling. It’s usually open for around 15-30 minutes.

Fans can vote for their favourite couple for free through the Love Island app, which, if you don’t have it already, can be downloaded on your smartphone or tablet through the relevant app store. If you would like to vote for Manchester contestant Davide Sanclimenti and his newfound love Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu just find their names and click the ‘vote’ button.

How much money does the Love Island winner receive and how does the split and steal work?

The prize money for Love Island 2022 is £50,000, but when the winning couple is announced not all is quite finalised at that moment. There’s still one more key decision to be made, and we’re not talking about another re-coupling.

The Love Island winners will have one final choice: will they split the £50,000 prize money between them, or will they take it all for themselves? Asked to reveal their decisions at the exact same moment, if they both choose they’d like to split the money, that’s exactly what they’ll do, receiving £25,000 each.

If one person decides to steal the money and the other says split though, the person who decided to steal gets the full £50,000. But if they both steal, the prize money is erased and they’ll go home with nothing.
