I tried a free sound bath experience with The Wellness Hub in MediaCityUK - it was so relaxing

Here at Manchester World, we’re starting a health & wellness series to see what is on offer in the city. This afternoon, I went down to try a sound bath experience in MediaCityUK designed for a bit of lunch break relaxation for busy workers.

The class was 45 minutes and completely free!

It was hosted by the owner of The Wellness Hub, Carly Tong and the sound bath practitioner, Mija.

This is perfect if you work around the area and want a quick getaway to relax whilst on your lunch break.

The information by The Wellness Hub to advertise the experience, said: “Step away from the demands of the day and into a peaceful, restorative sound bath designed to help you reset, recharge and return to work with renewed focus. This calming session uses therapeutic sounds to ease stress, promote clarity, and support overall wellbeing.”

That certainly had me hooked so I simply had to go down and give it a try!

Something that particularly stood out to me about this class is that there was no faff about it, when you walked into the area you could sample some floral tea and try an essential oil roll on perfume but you were under no obligation to socialise if you weren’t feeling up to it.

The experience began promptly with us doing a few stretches and then lying down to experience the sounds and vibrations on a yoga mat provided for you.

I have never experienced anything like this before, but I really enjoyed it. You may have trouble trying to relax but making the conscious effort to just let go and take 45 minutes to breathe and assess your feelings can be so helpful.

Many people even fell asleep they were so relaxed!

If you live or work around MediaCity you seriously cannot miss out on this free wellness opportunity.
