There are plenty of reasons to visit HOME in Manchester. It has a theatre, cinema, art gallery, book shop, as well as plenty of food and drink options. And if those aren’t reasons enough, maybe the new summer menu will change your mind.

Set across two floors, HOME bar and kitchen has a ground floor cafe and bar, with a terrace on Tony Wilson place. The restaurant continues on the first floor with a more formal restaurant setting.

What’s on the menu?

This summer, they are introducing a build-your-own menu called ‘Thrills, Grills and Deli Plates,’ a name inspired by the album ‘Pills ‘n’ Thrills and Bellyaches’ by legendary Manchester band Happy Mondays. Guests can choose between three different salad bases and their choice of proteins.

Starting off with the bases, there’s the North African Buddha Bowl with spiced chickpeas, garlic roasted broccoli, courgette, spinach, roast pepper, seeds, pomegranate, harissa and lime dressing; the HOME superfood salad with quinoa, sweet potato, feta, peas, broccoli, cucumber, kale, seeds, maple, and wholegrain mustard dressing; or an Avocado Super Poke with basmati rice, carrots, sweetcorn, avocado, fresh mango, cucumber, lemon-wasabi dressing and sriracha mayo.

Proteins include flat iron steak, Chalk Stream hot smoked trout, harissa chicken, falafel with tahini, among others. You can also choose to make it into a main meal with flatbreads or multi-grain bread.

Elsewhere on the menu, there are tortillas and a selection of dips including beetroot and walnut, hummus, chilli salsa and guacamole, as well as new seafood dishes garlic king prawn bruschetta and salt and pepper squid with roasted garlic aioli. Meat eaters can also enjoy steak frites, cheeseburgers and chicken wings. And for vegetarians, there is also a wild mushroom and puy lentil shepherds pie.

HOME are also continuing to serve up their pizzas, which come with unique fusion toppings such as Lancashire cheese and onion, Greek lamb, and buffalo chicken.
