The city of Manchester has played host to some amazing feats of achievement, especially when it comes to sports and music, but is also the home to some bizarre records.

Manchester holds over 200 Guinness World Records, including oldest computer and most valuable football club. The record-breaking body Guinness first began in the early 1950s as a book of facts to settle pub arguments and has now turned into a global brand.

This week, Wigan even played host to the World Pie Eating Championships where the champion Barry Rigby gobbled down a meat pie in a speedy 35 seconds.
