The steam punk type lighting helps make this a contemorary yet rustic bar to enjoy a drink and some live music too.

The Fitzgerald

11 Stevenson Square, Manchester M1 1DB

This speakeasy-style bar is located down in a basement on Stevenson Square and has a definite 1920s vibe.

It serves a range of unique and interesting cocktails, including some interesting medleys like the “Smoke and Mirrors” - served with a cloud of smoke.

The sultry dark interior, the low sofas and the cut glass drinkware gives an art deco style to this vintage drinking den - Great Gatsby vibes all round.

This quirky cocktail bar gives a nostalgic nod to the 90’s with its wacky Blockbuster video shop theme.

A blue and yellow colour theme and walls covered with VHS videos and movie posters takes you back to the days before streaming - with a promise the bar will help you to get ‘steaming’ instead- presumably on some of it’s video store themed cocktails - which include the wittily titled VHS Presso Martini and an Alcopop-corn to name a couple.

Downstairs is an underground club space with 3am opening times at the weekend. A great place to rewind while sipping on a PG&T.

Dusk Til Pawn

Stevenson Square, Manchester M1 1DN

With an eye-catching exterior replicating an old fashioned pawn shop, this inconspicuous spot is a unique cocktail bar in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

Brimming with vintage TVs, H Samuel jewellery, musical instruments and other once-upon-a-time time debris, this bar has a slightly seedy edge and is a hidden gem for fans of eclectic, weird and wonderful interiors.

Sip a ‘pawn star martini’ amid the dark wood and leather seating or choose from a cocktail menu bursting with classics and contemporaries.

This bar feels like a secret hideaway in the middle of the NQ.

The Daisy

44 Tib St, Manchester M4 1NB

Inspired by the Parisian district of Pigalle, The Daisy, located in the basement of Evelyn’s, rocks cool wall art, a minimalist aesthetic, monochrome flooring, attractive tiles and well chosen velvet furniture.

Massively chic and eye catching, when you find it you won’t want to leave - ooh la la - its tres chic.
