Here’s a novel spin on wine drinking - Spinningfields’ all-day coffee and wine bar, Provence, is hosting a new weekly series of Vino & Vinyl evenings – promising to perfectly pair vino to the vinyl…

Every Thursday from 6pm, Vino & Vinyl, welcomes a different DJ, matching weekly revolving wines to the music – with offers on ‘Wine of the Night’ so you can save as you sip.

Vino & Vinyl curated offers include one glass of wine of the night priced at £5, a carafe at £15 and a bottle for £20 (all regular Provence wines will be available at standard menu price).

And for those who love nothing more than wine, music and cheese, Provence’s plentiful charcuterie and antipasti boards will be available to order.

Nathalie Sexton from Provence said: “Vino & Vinyl is a music focused night, showcasing different DJs and wines each week, perfectly pairing the vino to the vinyl.

“And in true Provence style, dancing is always encouraged.”

We went along to try the Vino & Vinyl and found the laid back beats, al fresco drinking and lovely staff to be a great way to enjoy some after work drinks or a chilled prelude to dinner.

The charcuterie board was plentiful and while we didn’t dance, we did drink - and there’s always next time. For a fun, no fuss, ambient few hours, this new series is bound to hit the right note.

Vino & Vinyl events are free to enter, and walk-ins are always welcome, however, booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
