PizzaExpress launches free Christmas Concierge service at Manchester Trafford Centre restaurant

PizzaExpress is launching a free Christmas Concierge service this December in response to new research showing how much time and stress festive preparation now demands from UK households.

The service, available on 6, 13 and 20 December at selected restaurants, will offer free gift-wrapping and practical festive support for customers trying to manage last-minute tasks.

The research indicates that Brits spend around 29 hours each year on Christmas prep, with wrapping (33%), shopping (34%) and deciding what to buy (43%) emerging as major sources of pressure. Two-thirds (62%) say the season has become increasingly stressful, and almost nine in ten (87%) would outsource festive chores if they could.

The Christmas Concierge aims to ease some of that burden by allowing diners to drop off unwrapped gifts, enjoy their meal and return to collect them fully wrapped in PizzaExpress paper. A card-writing station will also be available, stocked with pizza-themed and Dough Ball-inspired cards for those caught out by late posting dates.

Paula MacKenzie, CEO at PizzaExpress, said: “Christmas should be about spending time together… while you enjoy a delicious catch up with family or friends, we’ll take care of the wrapping – giving you one less thing to think about this December.”

The service will run at London Westfield (White City), Cardiff St David’s, Birmingham Bullring, Manchester Trafford Centre and Livingston Designer Outlet.
