Located on Quay street, the brand new Italian delicatessen, restaurant and cocktail bar Lina Stores has just opened for the first time up North.

Having first opened in Soho, London 80 years ago, this is the first time that Lina Stores has opened outside of the capital.

Lina stores will serve lunch and dinner 7 days a week and have a menu centred around their fresh and handmade pasta, antipasti and delicious deserts.

If this has got your mouth watering already, check out exactly what the menu includes: “The antipasti menu starts with Ricotta & Herb Gnudi Fritti with Calabrian Chilli Marmellata and Grilled Cornish Squid with Garlic and Lemon, followed by Lina Stores’ beloved pasta dishes including 30-Egg Yolk Tagliolini with Black Truffle and Parmigiano Reggiano DOP and Pappardelle with Lamb Sausage Ragù, Seasonal Greens and Pecorino Romano with new options on the menu including Roasted Jerusalem & Ricotta Tre Latte Ravioli topped with Pinenuts and Grana Padano.”

The menu doesn’t just end here, they also have a whole range of secondi dishes. It will then conclude with some firm favourites such as: “Sicilian Cannolo filled with Ricotta, Pistachio and Chocolate and classic Tiramisù.”

In the delicatessen you can get a whole array of goodies starting with an Italian breakfast, including: “Porchetta with Salsa Verde on Focaccia and Smoked Salmon Salmoriglio and Mascarpone on Focaccia, and freshly baked goods, pasticcini and cornetti as well as strong Italian coffee.”

As well as this, you can also enjoy a range of lunch foods from the delicatessen such as salads and freshly made Focaccia panini’s. How good does all that sound?

On the 23rd of April, Lina Stores will also be launching their bar (which I can’t wait to head to later).

Lina Stores said: “The bar has been designed in collaboration with Behind Bars and guests will be invited to party until late night, accompanied by a curated programme of local and international DJs. Signature Bar Lina cocktails will make an appearance on the extensive cocktail menu, including favourites like the Bloody Martini with Sicilian Tomato, Altamura Vodka and Mancino Secco, and the Basilico with Basil infused Gin, Mancino Secco, Basil and Milk.”
