Manchester Wetherspoons pub named as the best in the UK - here's why

A new study has identified the 10 best rated Wetherspoon pubs with beer gardens, and The Bishop Blaize is the number one!

The pub is located on Chester Road, close to Old Trafford and a popular spot for Manchester United fans.

The spot features outdoor seating at the front and the back. You can also get yourself a pint of Carlsberg for just £2.77.

The AI platform Local Falcon analysed “663” Wetherspoons pubs across the UK that were listed as having a licenced outdoor area, according to the Wetherspoons website.

Data concluded that “82%” of the “806” Wetherspoon pubs listed on their site featured an outdoor area. We clearly love our Wetherspoons beer gardens!

The Velvet Coaster in Blackpool ranked second, scoring 4.3 out of five based on 11,255 reviews.

Where two pubs had the same ranking on Google, the number of reviews was used to differentiate them.

David Hunter, the CEO of Local Falcon who conducted the study said: “With the UK’s mini heatwave coinciding with the bank holiday weekend, many Brits will be heading down to their local to make the most of the weather.”
