Just Eat awards 2023: Manchester burger chain Archie’s scoops award as best new takeaway

A Manchester burger chain has scooped a Just Eat award for being the UK’s best takeaway newcomer.

Archie’s, which has five restaurants in the city, was given the nod at a national awards ceremony in London. The gong was voted for by customers in the app’s annual awards.

Archie’s has branches in the Arndale, Oxford Road, Piccadilly, the Trafford Centre and Manchester airport and is best known for its smashed burgers, waffles and shakes. They have also opened in Liverpool, Birmingham and Leeds and burgers start from £7.99. Rizwana Iqbal, manager of Archies, said: “To win the award it’s really amazing. We’re really so happy to have won.”

Meanwhile Chester’s Vegan House Foods Ltd was crowned the overall Best Takeaway in the North West.
