Manchester has been given as one of six target cities for the UK expansion of Chuck E. Cheese.

The beloved American restaurant chain, which has over 550 locations worldwide, is looking to open its first sites in the UK.

The Texas-based group is fronted by its grey mouse mascot Chuck and is famed in the States for hosting children's birthday parties with arcade games, live shows, and trampolines.

According to Completely Retail News, Manchester is a target location for Chuck E. Cheese alongside Bristol, Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham and Milton Keynes.

The brand is believed to be targeting shopping centres, retail parks, and leisure parks with car park frontage.

A Chuck E. Cheese spokesperson told ManchesterWorld: “We are actively expanding the Chuck E. Cheese brand internationally, with Europe, including the UK, as a key target market.

“While there is nothing specific to announce currently, we are excited to see our intellectual property resonate globally as we continue to gauge interest from potential franchise partners worldwide.”
