Hide AdThe pop-up is the brainchild of Karl Considine, host of the What Next podcast, which is all about sobriety and his personal journey of quitting alcohol. He is three years sober and an ambassador for Alcohol Change UK.
He described the upcoming event as: “Very much a passion project. We’re creating a space for people to connect in a setting that serves super tasty alcohol-alternative drinks coupled with hosting awesome events.”
Adam Higgins, co-founder of Capital&Centric which owns Kampus, said: “Karl’s a massive champion for change and this run of unique pop-up events is something different for the city to coincide with Sober October. It offers a real alternative for those who want to meet up and connect with people in a space that doesn’t revolve around alcohol.”
Some of the events that you can expect during the two-week pop-up include a tasting masterclass with alcohol-free spirit brand, Lyres, and an art workshop and cocktail tasting with Manchester artist Caroline Dowsett.

Love From aims to challenge the idea that alcohol-free events are boring and Karl will be asking visitors to give feedback on their experience, with the aim of opening a more permanent space in Manchester in the future.
