There is so much to see and do in Manchester, sometimes it’s just nice to step back and admire it from afar.
You can head to Salford Quays to see the skyscrapers reflected in the water, or hike up a hill in Saddleworth to see both Manchester and its neighbouring towns. There are even stunning views to be seen at the top of the city centre’s multi-storey car parks.
Here are some of our favourite places with great views of Manchester.
1. Saddleworth
The Saddleworth Moors offer great views of Greater Manchester. One spot you can try is here at Alderman’s Hill, or Pots and Pans Hill as it is known locally. (Photo by OLI SCARFF/AFP via Getty Images)
2. Manchester Airport
It’s always fun trying to spot the Manchester landmarks from plane windows and getting a rare aerial glimpse of the city. If you’re not jetting off any time soon, you can always head to the Runway Visitors Park. Credit: Manchester Airport
