The old Oldham Mumps bridge once proudly declared the town “home of the tubular bandage,” but these days that is not the only thing the town is famous for.
For a small, industrial town at the foot of the Pennines, Oldham has more than its fair share of famous faces. There are actors, athletes, musicians, TV stars, who all had their humble beginnings in this Greater Manchester borough.
