Students have been collecting results from schools and colleges across Manchester today. The A-Level, B-Tec and T-Level exams were all at before the end of the school year earlier this summer.
According to data, the top A-Level results across England have risen for the first time in three years. This figure is 27.8% of all grades at A* or A, a rise from 27.2% last year.
We’ve rounded up some of the best photos from across Manchester swing students receiving their grades. Well done to everyone involved.
Councillor Julie Reid, Executive Member for Early Years, Children and Young People said: "Well done to all students in Manchester who have picked up their results today - you should be very proud of your achievements.
"It's important to remember that today is not just about A Level results. BTECS have for so long now been a brilliant choice for so many of our students here in Manchester and have really helped them along their chosen path Post-18 into higher education, training or employment.
"Whether you sat A Levels, BTECs, T Levels, or any other qualifications, the amount of effort and sheer hard work it takes first of all to really commit to your courses for two years and then to prepare for and sit your exams or complete your coursework, is exactly the same regardless of which pathway you follow.
"A big thank you must also go to all the teachers and other staff in our schools and colleges for their commitment and support in helping our young people towards success - they couldn't do this without you."
