Tournament

The latest event being held by Victory Gaming and Way Youth is an e-sports tournament that is free to the local community and the young people of Wigan to come and play video games together, meet new people, and make friends.

E-sports at Wigan’s Edge Arena brings, youth, community, gaming and faith together in the search for success

This event is organised by Victory Gaming, in partnership with a local faith-based church, Way Church. It is also the launch of Way Youth Gaming, which will be a monthly gaming group that will meet at The Edge once a month. The exciting event will take place at The Edge Arena in Wigan on Friday, June 30, 2023. Registration opens at 5.30pm and gaming will run from 6pm-9pm.

The new e-sports tournament is the first one within the Wigan community that is free to turn up and enter. As well as Fifa, players will have the opportunity to challenge people in Rocket League and MarioKart tournaments too, with prizes for everyone. To feel more immersed in the fun atmosphere and gaming experience, you can even dress up in your favourite cosplay. There will also be music artists performing live during the event and other surprises, you don’t want to miss it!

As well as having fun talking to like-minded people about faith, the event gives you the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people, and build trust and a sense of community.

There will be a range of PS5 and gaming PC systems available to compete on as well as for free play. So, whether you are coming to play PS5, Play Chillblast systems gaming, or want to make friends and take home the freebies and goody bags available, there is an activity to suit everyone.

Of course, no gaming tournament would be complete without a grand prize. A Playstation Five is up for grabs to one lucky winner of the competition.
