Celeb chef James Martin took to Instagram to share his journey with his Manchester-based restaurant.
James Martin said has been the proprietor of the James Martin Manchester restaurant for nearly 12 years.
He said: “It’s been an amazing journey, before that we had a restaurant in Leeds. We moved from Leeds to Manchester and we’ve been here ever since.”
Adding: “The inspiration of the restaurant is really great produce. Particularly this area where we are in the North of England, we can spread our catch net quite wide. We’ve got access to some phenomenal ingredients some local some further a field but we take our influences from amazing producers from around and about the area and a little bit further beyond.”
In regard to the menu, James Martin said: “So, some of the menu highlights, some things that have never been off the menu is the Thai crab risotto, it’s never been off our menu in 30 years.”
James also mentioned: “The apple dessert which we will be putting on the menu tonight, there are a few new ones a few new dishes coming through that are our staple here but the grills and the steaks are still what are hugely popular here and Sunday lunch is really popular.”
James hailed the secret to the restaurants success to the people who work there, he said: “We’ve got amazing staff, we’ve got an amazing team and that’s what makes it special because it gives every diner that experience, that special little touch really.”
Adding: “I can’t do it without the staff, past and present as well. Manchester’s hidden little secret has been here for over a decade.”
