Caroline Cockill-Guy has become Legal 500-listed Aaron & Partners’ new Family Law Partner, in what’s been described as a “big statement of intent” for the firm’s local expansion.
Caroline, who qualified as a solicitor in 1999, has been practising law for 25 years, and is an industry-leading specialist in complex, high-asset financial cases, including many in the agriculture and farming sectors. Caroline also deals with complex private law children disputes.

Hide AdShe has joined the business from Butcher & Barlow and will focus on helping Aaron & Partners continue to grow its presence across key regional areas.
Caroline said: “I’ve looked up to Aaron’s for a long time and have always been impressed when crossing swords with now-colleagues on multiple occasions at the Family Court.
“I knew that if I was going to move to another law firm, it had to be the right move. And I’m pleased to say I think this is the perfect fit. The team are absolutely lovely, and everybody’s made me feel very welcome.
“I’m now excited to bring my experience to the table – spearheading our growth in the region and being part of a talented team.”

Caroline receives frequent recognition on the national stage for her work in the family law space – including in the prestigious Legal 500 rankings.
Caroline is also a passionate supporter of Gingerbread, a charity providing expert advice and practical support for single mums and dads.
Providing services across south Manchester and Cheshire including Knutsford and Northwich, Caroline will be based at Aaron & Partners’ Altrincham site, which was opened in 2022 – another milestone in the firm’s long-term growth strategy. Services provided from the office include business immigration, dispute resolution, commercial property and family law.
Caroline added: “I lived in Altrincham for over 30 years and I live near Northwich now, so it’s a pleasure to be placing a key focus of my work on these two areas - and aiding Aaron’s ambitions to expand here.”
