Tis the season! Stockport care home hosts Christmas ceremony

The team at Care UK’s Ladybrook Manor, on Dairyground Road, held an afternoon of festive fun to help spread festive cheer.

The home kicked off the event with a big countdown and lighting of the Christmas tree which was switched on by a member of Ladybrook Manor’s concierge, Sharon.

Following the light switch-on, Ladybrook Manor residents and guests rocked around the Christmas Tree to seasonal songs performed by female vocalist, Carla, which was enjoyed alongside mulled wine and mince pies, prepared by the home’s Chef, Nikki Bell.

Susan Cameron, General Manager at Ladybrook Manor, said: “We were thrilled to open our doors and embrace the festive spirit with our wonderful Christmas ceremony.

“There have been so many highlights at Ladybrook Manor over the past 12 months, and we’re all looking forward to celebrating Christmas and marking the end of another wonderful year. Christmas is an important time of year for bringing people together and spreading joy, and our Christmas fair was a great opportunity to do both, while also having some festive fun.

“We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along to celebrate the festive season with us, and we’d like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas from all of us here at Ladybrook Manor!”

Designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence, Ladybrook Manor incorporates space for hobby and leisure activities. The building has been configured into a series of neighbourhoods to help facilitate the creation of close-knit communities and encourage social interaction among the residents.
