Following demand from the local community and young people moving up from Cubs, 4th Heald Green Scout Group opened two new scout troops to help local young people to continue their scouting journey and gain even more skills for life!
In just three short weeks, the Scouts (boys and girls aged 10.5 – 13) have already attended a Scout Olympics competition, had athletics training sessions, as well as learning survival skills.

Being a Scout is all about discovering the world around you, starting small and thinking big and gaining new #SkillsForLife, all whilst making new friends and memories that will last a lifetime along the way.
Lead Volunteer Ali says “We are very proud to be a diverse group with children from many different walks of life! We have a great team of volunteers eager to give back and deliver a great programme.”
From hikes, back to basics and archery sessions, to first aid skills, adventure days and even a summer camp all in the works for the rest of 2024 and beyond, the Scouts are sure to have an action-packed experience!
