Smiles all round as Langfield Care Home gets into the Easter spirit

The folk at Langfield Care Home in Manchester decided to make the Easter break a time of celebration and fun, as they embarked on a host of seasonal activities.

The celebrations kicked off with arts and crafts, always a firm favourite with the people who live at the home. They kept themselves busy creating wreaths and other festive decorations.

To make the holiday even more of a special occasion, Langfield Care Home organised a DIY bonnet competition where residents decorated their hats with spring-themed accents, flowers, eggs and more.

The winner of the competition was Joan, who created a simple yet elegant bonnet that truly stood out.

Chantal Kilcourse, Activity Coordinator at Langfield Care Home, added: "There were plenty of laughs and smiles all around this Easter week, and our homemade decorations really helped to bring the Easter spirit to life in our home.”

If that wasn’t enough, the home welcomed a visit from the local dance troupe The McGowanettes.
