The CIC also works with Veterans and youngsters that have lost their way or made poor life decisions in an attempt to prevent further issues.
After sudden cardiac arrest, every minute that passes without CPR decreases the chance of recovery by ten percent. So time is critical.

Through its innovative CPR Pop Up initiative, which launched in late 2021, Pheniks aims to educate and train children and young people in vital first aid techniques, providing them with the tools and knowledge necessary to potentially save lives.
As part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing community safety, Pheniks installs defibrillators at key locations around Bolton. The latest installation will be at Astley Bridge Methodist Church, ensuring that this life-saving equipment is readily available in the heart of the community.
Founder, Hughie Benson, expressed his pride in the impact Pheniks is making, stating, "Achieving CIC status is a significant milestone for us, but the real achievement lies in the lives we are touching. By training over 15,000 children in CPR, we are not just teaching them a skill; we are empowering them to make a difference. Each child we train could be the one who saves a life in the future. We are building a generation of lifesavers, and we are incredibly proud of that.

Kids being teddies or soft toys in to practice then use that at home to practice and teach as homework. They are also taught how to get adults in recovery position actions in an emergency."

To further promote awareness and education, Pheniks recently hosted a CPR drop-in session at Gaskell Primary School. The event provided hands-on experiences, helping to demystify CPR techniques and encourage proactive engagement in health and safety.
