Mobile opticians and audiologists in Manchester awarded customer care medal by Specsavers founders

Specsavers Manchester Home Visits has been honored for going the extra mile for its customers by the founders of the business.

The Dame Mary Perkins Award for Outstanding Customer Care 2024 has been awarded to Manchester Domiciliary for going above and beyond. It is one of only of seven Specsavers businesses in the UK, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland to receive the award this year.

‘Caring for our customers is at the heart of what Specsavers is all about and the winners of this award are shining examples of how our colleagues do that every day. Congratulations to all of them,’ says Dame Mary Perkins.

Specsavers Manchester Home Visits has delivered vision care within the homes of people throughout the area since 2013 and this year, they also launched an audiology service to provide expert hearing services to those unable to visit their high street stores.

Many residents across the region may be unable to leave their home unaccompanied due to a physical or mental illness or disability, limiting their access to basic eye health and hearing services. These residents are quite often the people who are most in need.
