Joanna Huddart at Manchester Mind said the charity was “thrilled” to have received 679 Easter eggs in total. The independent charity paid tribute to its business supporters, especially Lubrizol.

Joanna said: “We’re inspired by Lubrizol’s fantastic team efforts, gathering the highest number of Easter Eggs throughout the whole appeal this year. Small acts of kindness are really important to the children and young people we support, many of whom are experiencing very complex issues during difficult periods in their life. With Lubrizol’s help, we’ll be able to bring joy to so many young people this Easter. Each school we work within have received wonderful gifts, as well as lovely treats for our youth services, which engage young care leavers, families and local residents aged 16-25 years old. Our heartfelt thanks to Lubrizol for being there for Manchester Mind and those we support in the local community.”
Manchester Mind is a local independent charity, which has promoted better mental health for 36 years. Currently, 11,000 young people and adults access its services, which include youth counselling, peer support groups, welfare rights advice, free emotional resilience courses, as well as mental health practitioners in local schools, workplace training, volunteering and more. Manchester Mind raises all its own funds, so every donation makes a lasting difference.
James Duke, who works at Lubrizol in Manchester, said: “We had pleasure in supporting Manchester Mind’s Easter Egg appeal and we’re delighted so many people contributed. It’s important to us at Lubrizol to give back to the communities we serve and we know that the work of Manchester Mind is really valuable. Mind is close to our hearts as we have previously raised money for the national charity, so it’s great to be able to support locally through the gift appeal. We hope that our chocolate eggs are much enjoyed.”
