A new coach Manchester and Bristol coach service from FlixBus is launching, rivalling train journey times, with tickets from just £4.49.

Taking just three hours and a half between cities, the service takes only 20 minutes more than the average Manchester to Bristol rail journey.

Unlike several rail options, the FlixBus coach service is direct and does not require interchanges. The service will operate twice a day each way, daily.

“Sustainable, reliable, affordable, and fast transport for two of the most exciting cities in the country. Coach is the clear winner for comfort and convenience, so why choose anything else when travelling this summer?” said Andreas Schorling, Managing Director of FlixBus UK.

Travellers can take advantage of the new service to enjoy Manchester’s epic summer of events, such as Manchester Day, on 27 July or Manchester Pride 23 – 26 August.

For Bristol, find live music at Hospitality On The Harbour on 3 August, while the annual Bristol Balloon Fiesta will take place 9 – 11 August.

The routes will be delivered by FlixBus partner Belle Vue, based in Stockport, as part of an expansion of the Flix network.

"This new exciting service from FlixBus brings great affordability, quality and service for anyone travelling Manchester to Bristol and return," said Belle Vue’s Managing Director Phil Hitchen.

The introduction of the new route follows the travel tech company's recent launch of a fast service between London, Edinburgh, and Glasgow.

With a TrustPilot score of 4.2 out of 5, FlixBus is increasingly popular with UK travellers, with all services including free Wi-Fi, charging points, and comfortable seating,

“With 70 destinations now on our UK network, this network expansion is all part of our mission to better connect towns and cities around the country without costing the earth, or people’s wallets,” added Schorling.
