Hilda Waterhouse, the 36th oldest person in Britain, marked her 109th birthday at Care UK’s Halecroft Grange, on Hale Road. To celebrate the special occasion, the home’s talented Head Chef prepared an afternoon tea for Hilda to enjoy with her family and fellow residents. The team ensured the scene was set for the day by decorating the lounge with birthday banners and balloons.
Hilda was born on the 1st July 1915 in Altrincham. In 1939 she married her husband, George Waterhouse, at St George’s Church in Altrincham. Shortly after, they moved to Sale and had two daughters, Beryl and Judith and one grandson, Micheal.
