Elite Community Hub CIC Launches Free Boxing Classes for Veterans and Emergency Services Workers
Elite Community Hub in Bolton, Greater Manchester has announced the launch of ‘Veterans & Blue Light Boxing’ a new weekly initiative offering free boxing classes specifically for veterans and members of the police, fire service, social care and NHS.
The dedicated sessions take place every Thursday at 7:00 PM at the Elite Community Hub, providing a safe and supportive environment for all veterans and active or retired personnel from the blue light services. The programme aims to offer participants an opportunity to stay active whilst learning boxing skills in a welcoming atmosphere designed to build camaraderie amongst those who share similar experiences in service to their local community.
Boxing has been recognised for its significant benefits to both physical and mental wellbeing, with the structured training providing participants with discipline, focus, and a strong sense of community spirit. Experienced coaches at the Elite Community Hub guide participants through each session, ensuring a supportive environment for all skill levels.
Alex Matvienko, founder of Elite Community Hub, said: “We’d be honoured to have our local heroes join us this Thursday at 7 PM. We’ve been giving back to the local community for the past 20 years, and this is the latest initiative we’ve launched to help those who give so much to all of us.”
The Veterans & Blue Light Boxing sessions are completely free of charge, reflecting the hub’s commitment to supporting those who dedicate their lives to serving others. Veterans and blue light service personnel interested in joining the sessions are invited to attend any Thursday evening. No prior boxing experience is necessary, and all fitness levels are welcome.
