Man Utd predicted line-up gallery vs Wolves with big decision expected at right-back

Erik ten Hag provided a hint of his Manchester United starting XI, in last week’s friendly win over Lens.

Manchester United kick off their 2023/24 Premier League season at home against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday.

With the signings of Andre Onana, Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund, there’s a different feel to the team that ended last season, in addition to the numerous departures at Old Trafford.

Two of the summer arrivals are expected to make their official United debuts on Monday, with Hojlund nursing an injury at present, along with Tyrell Malacia, Kobbie Mainoo and Amad - and all five will miss the season-opener. Anthony Martial is not likely to start against Wolves as he continues his recuperation from a hamstring injury, while Dean Henderson, Eric Bailly, Harry Maguire and Fred aren’t expected to be involved as speculation continues over their respective futures.

Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag provided a hint of his starting XI against Wolves, during last week’s friendly double header against Lens and Athletic Bilbao. The Dutchman selected a second-string XI in the latter, and what appeared to be his preferred team in the 3-1 win over Lens.

Naming the same side again would see Diogo Dalot start at right-back over Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The ex-Crystal Palace defender was selected in the early pre-season matches, but Dalot was named in the Lens team and might be suited to the Wolves encounter with United expected to see more of the ball.

Ten Hag’s other big decision is who start in the wide areas, with Antony, Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho all options for the Dutchman

With all that in mind, here’s the starting XI that Ten Hag is predicted to name when United host Wolves…
