Road closures: seven for Rochdale drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Rochdale will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A627(M), from 8pm November 27 to 5am December 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M both directions A663 to J1 - carriageway closure for drainage.

And a further six closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M62, from 9pm December 4 to 6am December 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 both directions, junction 19 to junction 21 - lane closure for drainage.

M60, from 9pm December 4 to 5am December 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anticlockwise jct 18 - 21 lane closures and carriageway closure due to maintenance works.

M62, from 9pm December 5 to 6am December 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 23 to junction 22, Lane closure for barrier repair.

M62, from 9pm December 13 to 5am December 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 20 to junction 19 - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

M62, from 9pm December 15 to 5am December 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 westbound, junction 22 to junction 22 - carriageway closure for construction - bridge/structure.

M62, from 8pm December 18 to 5am December 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, J21 to J22 - lane closure for structure - maintenance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
