Manchester United have one more Premier League game left to play of the 2023/24 season

Manchester United’s trip to Brighton and Hove Albion hasn’t been selected for TV coverage this weekend. The Red Devils head down to the AMEX Stadium in with a shout of securing 7th position in the Premier League.

Erik ten Hag’s side will be playing in Europe next term if they can pick up a positive result against the Seagulls and Newcastle United lose. They won’t be able to finish 6th due to Chelsea’s superior goal difference.

Who qualifies for Europe in the Premier League?

The top four has already been confirmed as Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa.

Tottenham Hotspur then lie in 5th and will book their place in the Europa League if they draw against already relegated Sheffield United, and 6th position would join them in that competition.

7th position then get into the Europa Conference League. However, if United beat City in the final at Wembley next weekend, they would get Europa League regardless.

Who is on TV?

Sky Sports have opted to show City’s home clash against West Ham as they look to pip Arsenal to the title. The Gunners’ match against Everton at the Emirates Stadium has been chosen by TNT Sports.

Pep Guardiola’s side just need to beat the Hammers to secure the title, with the Gunners ready to pounce if they drop points.

Jurgen Klopp’s last game as Liverpool coach against Wolves at Anfield has also been selected by Sky Sports. He is leaving Merseyside this summer and will be replaced by Arne Slot.

At the other end of the table, there will be no dramatic final day in the relegation battle. Sheffield United, Burnley and Luton Town have all been relegated back to the Championship. All three were promoted last year but haven’t been able to survive which highlights how big the step up from the Football League is these days.
